Shell Disease

At the 9th annual Ronald C. Baird Sea Grant Science Symposium (Aug. 10-11), scientists explored new approaches to understanding emerging marine diseases and looked into the causes of lobster shell disease and the contributing factors that make the crustaceans vulnerable. News from this conference with URI's Kathleen Castro, co-leader for Fisheries Programs for the R.I. Sea Grant Program,  was covered by the Providence Journal, South County IndependentTheDay.com (Conn.), New Haven Register, and PhysOrg.com, among others.
