Recognized as the foundation of vital research and teaching endeavors and future jobs, the bond referendum #2 for a new Center for Chemical and Forensic Sciences has gained significant attention in various media throughout the state. It has been endorsed by the Providence Journal, Providence Business News, South County Independent and RIFuture.org, and an op-ed about it by Providence Chamber of Commerce director Laurie White was published in the ProJo. In addition, the Warwick Beacon ran a story about a presentation President Dooley gave about the bond to the Warwick Rotary Club.
