President appointed to Homeland Security post

President David Dooley has been appointed by the Department of Homeland Security to a newly created academic panel to address national security issues. His appointment, along with 18 other higher education officials in the country, generated considerable media attention. Locally, the Providence Business News, WRNI and the Providence Journal picked up on the story, which was also reported by Government Security News, Inside Higher Ed, and other trade publications.
