In a The New York Times op-ed piece (Dec. 3) "How the E.U. Pushed Ukraine East", Political Science Professor Nicolai Petro wrote about the growing political unrest in Ukraine, where thousands of protesters in Kiev are trying to topple the Russian-aligned government regime. An expert in Russian history and culture, Petro is living in Ukraine for a year on a Fulbright grant to study the role of the Russian Orthodox Church.
