News about this weekend's hot air balloon festival on campus was reported in the Providence Journal, Westerly Sun and Valley Breeze.

Invasive plants, language studies, and Master Gardeners

An effort by URI entomologists to fight an invasive weed by releasing insects to eat the plant has generated considerable local media attention.  The Providence Journal featured the project on the front page on July 13, and Channel 10 reported on it on July 12 and 13. It was also reported by Channel 12, WHJJ radio, WPRO radio, and the Greenfield Reporter.  The URI news release about the project can be found here.
