Liberian Ebola rally, Tech Collective honor

A group of URI students and alumni from Liberia are organizing a rally and collecting supplies for victims of Ebola in their homeland.  Several news outlets have reported on the story, including Channel 12, Rhode Island Public Radio, and the Associated Press, whose story ran in the Washington Times.  The URI news release about the effort can be found here.

Ebola virus, octopus research

The Ebola virus outbreak has generated several URI-related news stories, including interviews with Prof. Jef Bratberg on Channel 12 and WPRO radio, Prof. Annie De Groot on Channel 6 and WARV radio.  There was also an Associated Press story -- about a rally by students and alumni to support Liberians facing Ebola -- that appeared in the Providence Journal, Greenfield Reporter, South Carolina Enquirer Herald, The Republic and elsewhere.
