Surprise donkey birth goes viral

When one of the donkeys at Peckham Farm unexpectedly gave birth, the story and photos of the baby donkey went viral on April 24. Stories appeared in the Providence Journal, Channel 10, WPRO radio, Horse Talk, GoLocalProv and South Kingstown Patch. And an Associated Press story appeared in more than 300 news outlets, including the New York Times, ABC News, Fox News, Denver Post, Miami Herald, Chicago Sun Times, Salon, Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Kansas City Star, US News and World Report, Daily Mail, Seattle Post Intelligencer, Houston Chronicle, more than 100 TV stations around the country, and many more. Ticks, vaccination and nursing

An April 19 story about ticks and the spread of Lyme disease in Massachusetts featured quotes from Prof. Thomas Mather and appeared in the Fitchburg Sentinel and Enterprise, Lowell Sun, Cape Cod Times, Attleboro Sun Chronicle and Huffington Post. Another tick story featuring Prof. Mather appeared in the Worcester Telegram on April 18, while an editorial about ticks and Mather's Tick Encounter Resource Center was published in the Taunton Gazette and Fall River Herald News.
