Data breach, beach explosion, water quality

A data breach of some URI student email accounts was reported by the Providence Journal, Providence Business News, Rhode Island Public Radio, and the Associated Press, whose story appeared in the Miami Herald, Idaho Statesman, Houston Chronicle, Washington Times, San Francisco Chronicle and more than 50 other news outlets.

An announcement by Governor Gina Raimondo that the state was asking that all cables be removed from beaches, following the mysterious explosion solved by URI professors, stories appeared in the Providence Journal and -- via the Associated Press -- the Seattle Post Intelligencer, Daily Mail, San Antonio Express, Hartford Courant and more than 200 others.

A study of the water quality in Narragansett Bay by Prof. Candace Oviatt received attention in the Providence Business News, EcoRI and the Associated Press, whose story appeared in the Greenfield Reporter, Channel 12, WRAL/North Carolina and elsewhere.
